I have never been a fan of the term “Christian Radio”, since no “thing” can be atoned. But that got my sick mind thinking… what would “Radio” look like if it were “Christian”?
Here we go…
The Calvinisim Playlist:
The songs you play are decided for you, even before your show begins.
The Arminian Playlist:
You can choose your playlist, but if you do not follow the written list, your can lose your airshift.
The Open Theist Playlist:
The song doesn’t actually exist until you press “Play”.
The Emergent Playlist:
The inerrancy of the written playlist is not something we can assume.
The Pentacostal Playlist:
Aside from actually getting your air-shift, you need to play one song in a different language before you actually have a radio show.
The Intecessory Saint Playlist:
You can get the songs changed, but you have to ask the morning show host to ask the music director
Universalist Playlist:
There is no single “right” format, as long as you have a playlist and that playlist is right for you. They are all equal paths to radio.
Relevant Playlist:
Don’t print the playlist on paper… print it on.. whoa.. denim… and write it in… oh! write it with Red Bull… yeah… that’s totally random! Cool! yeah… Random. It’s art!
Fundamental Playlist:
This old playlist was good enough for Peter and Paul, it’s good enough for me
I am sure more will be added, but feel free to be creative! Add your own in the comments!
How about…
The Orthodox Playlist: There is only one right list of songs, and any deviation means you’re not a real radio host.
The Roman Catholic Playlist: The list has been passed down since the dawn of radio, but the supreme Music Director has authority to alter the songs.
The Restoration Playlist: The on-air host is searching for the true original song list.
@Lauryn
Oooh… Good ones.
Actually, I’d like to adjust the Orthodox playlist one.
The Orthodox Playlist: There is one right list of songs, passed down to us through scripture, tradition, and the discernment of saints. This particular list in this order is sacred, and was proceeded by prayer and fasting. All questions regarding programming can be refered to the department of divine mystery.
The Reformed playlist: We lacked the strength to press the play button, so it was only by God’s grace that we have music. (For more, cross reference Calvinist playlist.)
