Camera in pool… cool

Well, it appears we are going to be OK.

The camera was a bit “fritzy” when it first came out of the pool, but I quickly removed the battery and let it sit a few days. Yesterday it seemed to be OK, except for a big drop of water in the lens.

All was well, except that all of my shots had that fuzzy glamor shots look.

After another 24 hours, that seemed to go away, and it appears I don’t need to shell out cash before thing 3 turns 2 on Sunday.

I got it working late tonight, so there isn’t really a shot with which to start this 30 day thing again… so I thought I would put up the shot I took that helped me determine that the camera was OK.

I call it “Study in TV Tray”

Send me $600 in cash and I will send you an 8 1/2 x 11 print (signed and numbered)

Pool

Funny, the day after I promise to keep up on my POD, the camera takes  plunge into the wading pool.

I am thinking it should be OK, but if not, you may be treated to 30 days worth of camera phone pix.

More Coming

Sorry,

I have been taking the photos, I just have had a tought time getting them posted.

To give me a little incentive, I will try to post for 30 days straight (meaning, when I mess up, I start again).

I will post the weekend shots before the end of the weekend.

Picture of the Day – Fruit Punch and Bissel

Thing 2 and I were playing in the living room. Thing 3 came to join us and knocked over a glass of fruit punch (see yesterday’s entry).

Fruit Punch and a white throw rug are not a good mix.

I pulled out the “Great Value” carpet stain lifter, which did a great job of spreading the red into a larger pink blob.

I went to the basement and grabbed the small carpet cleaner.

That really did the trick.

The only problem is that we now have one very clean spot on an somewhat dingy throw rug. So NOW, I have to spend next weekend shampooing the entire rug.

We now have at least on square foot of REALLY clean house!

Picture of the Day – Noodles

Today is Sunday.

This morning was my last Sunday School class with my 3rd-6th Graders. Krispy Kremes and Fruit Punch were abundant.

We played a game of “HangMan” with words from our last 6 months of lessons.

In the afternoon, I went downtown with our Youth Pastor and 7 of the greatest teenagers in the world. We made a spaghetti dinner at a family assistance center.

I was finding some good pleasure making dinner in the kitchen, but something smelled a bit odd.

I figured something was left on the burner.

When the time came to dump the noodles into the strainer, we found the source of the odd odor. A good chunk of my noodles we well burnt to the bottom of the pots.

We were able to salvage them well enough to serve. They were actually pretty good.

Picture of the Day – Graduation Day

Today we hit 5 graduation open houses.

Before leaving home, we told the girls not to plan on any lunch or dinner. We are going to have one long meal from 12:00 – 7:00pm.

That was the case. And I must say… great grad food (thanks to all of you)

We got home around 7:30 and started a bonfire in the back yard. We put “Thing 3” to bed, then the rest of us made S’Mores.

It was a great way to end our long day of running around.

Photo of the Day – Day off

I promise that I won’t post a picture of “Playing at the Park” every day… it’s just what came up today.

I am burning vacation time by taking Friday’s off this summer. “The Pretty One” works on Fridays.

SO, I am hoping to take the gals out for a field trip each week.

Today, we went to the Library to start “Think 1’s” Summer reading program. Then we walked back down to the river for an hour at the park.

This picture is Thing 1, pushing Thing 3 on the swings.

True to form, Thing 2 is on the opposite side of the playground, on a slide.

Photo of the Day

OK, my blogging skills have been a bit poor recently. As a result, I have been trying to find a way to get back into the habit.

Here is my plan.

I will post 1 photo from every day, every day, for the next 30 days.
I can’t post 2, I can’t post 0… just 1.

I have already found it hard to pick the 1 photo, out of the many I took.

So… here is the first:

We stopped by our local park (As the girls call it… “The Big Park Down By The River”).

We spent only 15 minutes there, because the clouds got a bit scary looking (I have pictures of those as well… but my own rule prohibits me from posting them).
